Gemma - Massage Therapist
After leaving college I was offered an office job in an insurance company and since then I have mainly been stuck in the corporate world doing jobs that I have no passion for, feeling unappreciated and tired.
In December 2023 I made an intuitive decision to step away from that world and focus on what I need and what my family needed. Sharon and I have been friends for over ten years and I greatly admire Sharon for creating a business that not only aids the healing of peoples bodies but also their minds. It seemed like fate stepped in that I wanted to go back to a job that I loved and what I felt I had been born to do and Sharon at the same time was looking to expand her business and open it up to providing her clients with more treatments. So here we are, I cant wait to meet new and existing clients and join Sharon in providing professional treatments that promote well being, stress relief and healing. Finally, I am a full member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) which gives you assurance of my qualifications and service I provide. I have worked in the NHS as a MSK physiotherapy associate practitioner. I write and implement rehab exercises/program and classes. I enjoy working with people that have had barriers to exercise - from osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, post surgery, and many more. |

Mel - Grief Support through Art and Creativity
I first experienced grief when my mum became unwell and unfortunately died from cancer when I was 4 years old and 6 years later my dad suddenly died from cancer too. It wasn't just the death of my parents where I experienced grief it was the loss of identity, the loss of my childhood, the missed milestones etc.
I experienced a lot of trauma during my younger years which continued as I grew older, I ended up entering the care system and later became a carer for my foster mum when she was diagnosed with cancer and sadly died 15 years ago. Just two months later my brother also died suddenly. I always felt like death and sadness followed me.
I was never given the support, the time or the space to process my grief. I started Echoes Of The Soul Grief Support to be the change. We're not alone and I hope my sessions will bring people together to connect and create with others that understand. This is built through lived experience.
