January 24 - It's time to announce the big news! 😍

I have spent the last week thinking about what to say and how to announce it and update you on the exciting development at Nourish Holistic Therapy by Sharon Stevens

As you all know, to keep your favourite massage therapy treatments available and continue to provide the quality of service and environment you know and love, I work extremely long hours. This is something that needed addressing along with tackling the availability and access to your treatments which currently stands at several weeks in advance and an ever growing cancellation list.

A golden opportunity presented itself recently that, not only solves that but that also enables us to extend the services to include treatments not currently offered, but that I am very often asked for.

It is with huge pleasure that I am delighted to announce that as of late May the business is welcoming our new Holistic therapist Gemma to the Nourish family ❤️❤️.

So what's happening, when, and what is going to be added to your options for improving your wellbeing when visiting us 🤔.

Firstly we will be moving into a new premises but don't worry as we are remaining on Warren Park so you still have all the huge benefits of being local, convenient, in a beautiful location with the secure free parking, onsite cafe and amazing countryside.

We have building work starting mid May to create the two treatment rooms, one of which will be exactly the same as the one you have come to know and love, the second will be created by Gemma to compliment the services she offers but one thing is certain, it will be beautiful, relaxing, warm, safe and hygienic just as you have always found.

So a little bit about Gemma.

I have been a personal friend of Gemmas for around 11 years now. Gemma trained as a Holistic therapist many years ago and since then had had a couple of career changes, ran successful businesses in the past (I am sure many of you will recognise her 😉).

Gemma, like me, has a passion for people, an eye for the important details that make a difference, and exceptional client relationship skills on top of giving the most amazing massage treatments

I couldn't of been blessed with anyone better ❤️

Now for the extra treatments that will be available 😀

Gemma is fully qualified in many aspects of holistic therapy and a member of the FHT (federation of holistic therapists) She offers, in addition to the massage treatments you know and love.

🙌 Reflexology

🙌 Reiki

🙌 Crystal Healing

🙌 Cupping therapy

You will be seeing updates on our journey regularly on here and we will be in contact by email along the way too so keep your eye on here and your inbox.

In the meantime, you can start registering your interest in booking any of the new treatments mentioned above with Gemma by text message, call or email and you will be contacted as soon as we are able to start bookings. We anticipate this to be in June.

There is also another couple of important things to say (probably the most important)

Without you all this would never of been possible! When I started the business back in 2021 I really didn't anticipate the huge success it would become. It's all of you that have created this and the opportunity it brings. My clients (you) are and will remain the core of everything we do and our priority. I simply cannot express how grateful I am to each and every one of you that have entered into that treatment room. You have all inspired me to continue and grow, we have laughed together, even cried together but always given 100%.

The second thing I need to do is say a massive huge thank you to everyone at The Treatment Lab (our current base) who have been the most incredible people and the support shown for me and my business over the last two and a half years has been another contributing factor to the success that has led to this growth.

Thank you to all of you.

July 2023 - Lymphatic Drainage Massage

So after a few delays and a huge amount of additional training, practicals, research I have finally (albeit a bit later than planned) launched the new LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE 🤩

Bet you want to know what it is and how it benefits you right? 😏 Well let's keep it as brief as possible and not get bogged down in jargon.

The lymphatic system:

The lymphatic system is our body's 'sewerage system'. It maintains fluid levels in our bodies tissues by removing all fluids that leak out of our blood vessels.

It's important for the optimal functioning of our IMMUNE SYSTEM.

It clears away infection and keeps body fluids in balance. If it's not working properly, fluid builds in your tissues and causes swelling, called lymphedema. Other lymphatic system problems can include infections and blockages leading to puffiness, bloating and problems with our health.

It's a good idea to keep the "system" working properly (imagine a plumbing system with blockages that cause issues everywhere in the system)

Signs of a slow or blocked system

Common:

Puffiness

Bloating

Swelling

More:

Worsened allergies and food sensitivities

Headaches and migraines

Joint pain and arthritis

Frequent cold and flu infections

Menstrual cramps

Sinusitis

Muscle cramping, tissue swelling

Acne

Cellulite

Fatigue

Heaviness in the abdomen

Lymphatic drainage is good for reduction and/or prevention of any of these and also very good for FIBROMYALGIA.

How does the massage work:

Lymphatic drainage massage is extremely gentle and is skin surface only, we don't even go deep enough to feel the muscles.

It comprises of "pumping" the lymph nodes in the body to get them ready to work and then gently moving the lymph "stuck" or stagnant in the body (often limbs and particularly lower limbs are prone to Puffiness and swelling)

I have two options for treatment. 1 hour or 45 minutes

In addition, as lymphatic drainage is most effective when done frequently for the first few initial appointments (it keeps the momentum up) I have also created two MONEY SAVING packages.

You can buy either 4 or 2 hours and benefit from discounted price. These are available on the system as vouchers or you can contact me to arrange one for you.
